MORRISVILLE BOROUGH >> Holy Trinity School ushered in Christmas by reenacting the Holy Family’s journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus Christ in a lowly manger.
The annual “Angel Pageant,” directed this year by teachers Jennifer Ansaldo and Janis Donahue, took place on Monday, Dec. 17 in the sanctuary of Holy Trinity Church.
The pageant was filled with lively songs and carols performed by the children, including “The Christmas Star,” “Walk on to Bethlehem” and “The Little Drummer Boy,” and featured beautiful narration of the Christmas story by fourth grade lectors.
Through scripture readings and songs, the cast and crew of more than 150 students in prekindergarten to fourth grade, gave adorable performances that set the tone for the holiest season of the year.
Shepherds, wise men and plenty of angels made special appearances, along with the Little Drummer Boy and Mary and Joseph as featured performers as the story of the virgin birth came alive in the sanctuary of the church.
“In this annual tradition, Holy Trinity’s youngest students do a wonderful job reminding all in attendance of the true reason for the season,” said the directors.
