POLICE LIGHTS

WARRANT ARREST >> On Friday, June 21 at 8:35 p.m., a Yardley Borough police officer stopped a 2009 silver Toyota on S. Delaware Avenue near East Afton Avenue for a traffic violation. The operator of the vehicle was discovered to have multiple warrants from Bucks County. The 41-year-old woman from Morrisville was arrested and turned over to the Bucks County Sheriff's Office.

RETAIL THEFT >> On Sunday, June 23 at 4 p.m., a Yardley Borough police officer was dispatched to a Main Street business to investigate a retail theft of approximately $80. Through investigation, officers developed a suspect and developed sufficient probable cause to support a charge of theft. On June 27, a charge was filed for a 50-year-old man from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for theft. The matter is pending court action.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION >> On June 26 at 7:09 p.m., a Yardley Borough officers were dispatched to Afton and Delaware avenues to investigate a man lying near the roadway. The subject was suspected to be highly-intoxicated and removed to a local medical facility for evaluation. A charge has been filed for a 30-year-old man from Trenton, N.J., for public intoxication. The matter is pending court action.
