LANGHORNE BOROUGH >> Detectives from the Bucks County District Attorney's Office along with the FBI are investigating a law enforcement-involved shooting at a convenience store in Langhorne Borough.

The incident occurred late Thursday inside the 7-Eleven store located in the 200 block of North Pine Street (Route 413) when a police officer assigned to a federal task force intervened in a suspected robbery in progress.

One suspect was injured by gunfire and another fled the scene. The injured person was hospitalized and is expected to survive.

The man who left the scene, John Sugalski, 66, of Langhorne Manor, was later apprehended and charged with robbery, conspiracy and related counts. He was arraigned Friday morning, June 7 by District Judge Jan Vislosky who set bail at 10 percent of $950,000.

Federal authorities are assisting in the investigation because of their involvement in the underlying incident.

As is protocol for a shooting involving law enforcement in Bucks County, charging determinations will be made by District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub.
