LOWER MAKEFIELD >> The rockets red glare lit up the skies over Shady Brook Farm Saturday night as upwards of 3,000 to 4,000 people unWINEd from a stressful work week with live music, wines by Rose Bank Winery, locally brewed craft beer, signature cocktails, food, Uncle Dave’s Ice Cream and a brilliant fireworks display.
While kids had a blast on jumping pillows, having fun in the BEARS playground, taking part in a sports challenge, competing in duck races and racing on go carts, their parents chilled to live music by the Route 80s Band.
The evening culminated with a fireworks show that sent bursts of color cascading down from above in a brilliant light display.
It was all part of the farm’s “The Summer UnWINEd Concerts.” If you missed the fireworks on Saturday night, Shady Brook will do it again on Saturday night, September 1 when it features the tribute band, “The Best of the Eagles.”
The series continues with live music, wine, food and games throughout the summer every Friday and Saturday evening through Sept. 1. There is an admission fee. For information, visit ShadyBrookFarm.com.
The Yardley-Makefield Fire Company stood by during the fireworks show in case they were needed.
