BRISTOL BOROUGH >> The Bristol Borough Lions Club opens its 47th Annual Summer Concert Series on Sunday, June 9 with the Men of Harmony at the Bristol Lions Park Gazebo located at the foot of Mill Street in Bristol Borough.
All concerts start at 6 p.m. Concerts are subject to change without notice
The series continues Sunday, June 16 with Gary & Joanna (Doo-Wop), and Sunday, June 23 with Borderline (High Energy Bluegrass).
On Friday, June 28 The King George Inn presents Jazz on the River from 5 to 8 pm. And on Sunday, June 30 from 1 to 8 p.m. the 23rd Annual Celtic Heritage Festival sponsored by the Celtic Heritage Foundation takes place rain or shine.
The concerts resume on Sunday, July 7 with The Cats (music from the 50s to the present); Sunday, July 13 with Stems & Seeds (classic rock); and Sunday, July 21 with the Fitch Brothers (classic rock).
Saturday, July 27 brings the 48th Annual Puerto Rican Day Festival to the banks of the Delaware River from 12 to 8 p.m. The festival is sponsored by the Puerto Rican Cultural Association of Bucks County. The rain date is Sunday, July 28.
The concert series continues on Sunday, August 4 with The Southside Wonders (oldies to Motown to current), and Sunday, August 11 with Finster (rock, country, 60s and current).
Saturday, August 17 spotlights the 24th Annual African-American Festival on the banks of the river from 12 to 8 p.m. The event is presented by the Bucks County African-Americans for Future Education. The rain date is Sunday, August 18.
The concerts continue on Sunday, August 25 with Skinny Mamie (Throwback Rock & Blues), and Sunday, September 1 with Gary & Joanna (Oldies, Rock & Country).
The 36th Annual Bristol Lions Italian Festival takes place on Saturday, September 14 from 12 to 8 p.m. The festival is sponsored by the Bristol Lions Club. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 15.
Bristol Borough's Doo-Wop in the Park is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21. The free concert is presented by the Bristol Borough Council. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 22.
Historic Bristol Day sponsored by the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation concludes the summer events series on Saturday, October 19. The day is sponsored by Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation.
