NEWTOWN >> The Reverend Monsignor Michael C. Picard has announced a new model of administration for Saint Andrew Catholic School. The position of President has been established, while maintaining the Principal and Vice Principal positions.
The President will focus on the spiritual life of the school, fundraising, admissions, strategic planning, alumni relations, maintenance and the physical plant. The President will be required to work off campus at times to promote the school and the mission of the school.
The principal and vice principal will focus on the day-to-day operations of the school including curriculum, technology, teacher coaching and evaluation, student management as well as supervising support staff.
Nancy K. Matteo will serve as President. Rob Sikora will serve as Principal. And Jessica Wagner will serve as Vice Principal.
It is Monsignor’s prayer and hope that this new model will help to make Saint Andrew Catholic School, a 2013 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, the best in the area and in the archdiocese. This new endeavor will enhance the faith formation and academic achievement of the students.
