NEWTOWN >> The Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) is thrilled to host Louis Van Amstel, Dancing with the Stars Championship dancer, who will be offering two master La Blast Classes on Sunday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m. and 12 Noon.

The classes will raise funds for Potential, Inc. a Newtown-based company that assists individuals with autism in reaching their full educational, social and emotional potential by applying and developing innovative evidence-based approaches.

LaBlast Fitness is a partner-free dance fitness workout created by world-renowned dancer and fitness expert Louis van Amstel (as seen on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars). It’s accessible for all levels – from the absolute beginner to the experienced dancer. Louis is bringing his class to the NAC to provide a fabulous fun fitness experience while raising money for an important cause, autism.

There are two classes being offered: a master class for all levels at 10:30 a.m. that requires a $20 donation for the cause and a class at 12 Noon for individuals with special needs, their families and caregivers that is free with an optional donation. Both classes take place in the NAC brown gym with a complimentary champagne and cookie reception at 11:30 a.m. between the two classes.

According to Linda Mitchell, NAC Director of Public Relations and Charitable Giving, “This is an mazing opportunity to workout with a world renowned choreographer and dance celebrity, while raising funds for autism programming right here in our community.”

Louis is having Robert Wallop, an international Special Olympics Dance champion, as his special guest. Roberts is a certified LaBlast instructor himself and travels the world promoting movement and health and wellness.

Members and non-members are encouraged to attend.
