Giant Food Store

FEASTERVILLE >> GIANT Food Stores will celebrate the grand opening of its new Feasterville store located at 176 W. Street Road on Friday, Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. Approximately 65 additional full and part time jobs have been created bringing the total number of Feasterville GIANT associates to 205. The store replaces GIANT’S current Feasterville store located at 1055 Bustleton Pike, which closes for business on Aug. 9 at 5 p.m. The brand new, 66,000 sq.-ft. store is about 25 percent larger than the original location.

As part of the celebration festivities, the first 200 customers in line will receive a free special Philadelphia Phillies reusable shopping bag, a six pack of GIANT English muffins, and other grand opening savings. Early morning customers will be greeted by the sweet sound of the Philadelphia Mummers String Band.

Tim Feoli, a 36-year grocery veteran, has been appointed store manager of the new GIANT, and he will bring his team and community leaders together in a 7:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 10. The new Feasterville GIANT will operate 6 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.

“We can’t wait to debut our new look featuring fresh products from local farms and suppliers in an easier to shop layout,” said Feoli. “We’re excited to show the entire Feasterville-area community all the fresh ideas that their new store has to offer.”

Customers will experience an expanded market fresh produce department with more organic selections, fresh-squeezed juices, in-store cut fruit, and a full salad bar. “Our produce department alone has over 350 fresh produce items, and we’ll be welcoming a new crop of local fruits and vegetables to showcase on day one,” continued Feoli. “We’re super proud to partner with our local farmers, especially this time of year.”

The store will carry local products from Pennsylvania and New Jersey farmers and producers such as Benedict’s Produce in Chambersburg; Buona Foods, Inc. located in Landenberg; Circle M Farms, Salem, New Jersey; Flaim Farms, Vineland, New Jersey; and Sterman Masser Potato Farms found in Sacramento.

In addition, the new store will feature GIANT’S signature fresh departments including a full-service deli featuring a selection of grab and go meals with salads made on site; a full-service meat & seafood department offering USDA Prime, Nature’s Promise meats, fresh fish, and a variety of local offerings; a decadent full-service bakery with artisan breads, cakes, donuts, and other dessert favorites; and a dramatic full-service floral department with fresh-cut flowers and stunning arrangements that can add a celebratory touch to special occasions.

The new Feasterville GIANT will feature a Beer & Wine Eatery, stocked with an immense selection of domestic, imported and craft beers - over 400 in all. GIANT is partnering with 13 local breweries from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, all of which are featured on cold and warm Local Beer shelves.

The Beer & Wine Eatery will also showcase craft beers within the expansive Mix-a-Six case, where customers can mix and match to find new favorites. Customers are welcome to pull up a chair in the Beer & Wine Eatery to enjoy fresh-made fare including meal combos, sandwiches, wraps, subs, salads, sushi, and hot bar. The new eatery seats 30 and will be open Monday – Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Feasterville customers will now have the convenience of a full-service pharmacy, with pharmacists available seven days a week to fill prescriptions and offer expert advice. As partners in good health, GIANT pharmacists can administer vaccines, suggest the right over-the-counter medications and help manage prescriptions. The pharmacy will provide customers a private consultation room where they can talk discreetly with their pharmacist about medication or receive an immunization.

While shopping, customers can also help themselves to their favorite Starbucks® beverage with the convenient Starbucks on the Go kiosk. Starbucks on the Go will feature both hot and iced Starbucks beverages. Customers can enjoy lattes, cappuccinos, flavored coffee – or just a simple cup of coffee to go.

To make life even easier, busy Feasterville shoppers can order their groceries effortlessly online and have them delivered reliably with Peapod by GIANT. To get started, customers just go to and enter their zip code.

“We’ve got you covered at GIANT – getting your groceries delivered is as easy as a click with Peapod,” added Feoli. “We’re happy to offer a friendly in-store experience as well as the option of online grocery shopping and home delivery through Peapod.”

Grand opening festivities

GIANT believes in giving back to its communities for a better tomorrow. In that spirit, GIANT is celebrating the opening of its Feasterville store with local community groups in a special presentation on Aug. 9 at the store where the organizations below will each receive a $1,000 donation: Liberty USO, Lower Southampton Twp. Fire Marshal’s Office, Lower Southampton Twp. Police Department, Neshaminy School District and St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church Food Pantry.

To add to the fun on Grand Opening Day, customers can witness the wild and humorous antics of the green, furry Phillie Phanatic from 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. GIANT is the official grocer of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The new Feasterville store is part of a $70 million investment GIANT announced earlier this year to grow its store network across Pennsylvania by constructing six new stores, remodeling two locations and opening five new fuel stations over the next two years.

Serving millions of customers each week at 171 locations in four states, GIANT is also celebrating its 95th anniversary and still calls Carlisle, PA its hometown.
